A BOT team is an inactive team, a team that is not played by a real player or in the case of this game, a real manager.

In Blackout Rugby Manager that are BOT teams that are mostly used to fill in spaces in leagues and the national cup when there are not enough active players.

How do you know if you are playing against a BOT team in Blackout Rugby Manager?

You may notice that bot teams always have two parts to their name. The first part is usually a suburb, town or city and the second part same typical name like Stags, Warriors, Bulldogs, Eagles, etc.

If you click on the name of a team in a league or cup, then a pop-up should appear with a summary of the team like below:

Example of a BOT team in Blackout Rugby Manager - Woodward Games Tutorial

You can see that I clicked on the name of Kaloleni Wildcats in my cup and the above appeared. We can see it is a level 5 team and if you look at the details section, where it says manager it has the word BOT. That means the team does not have a REAL human manager. (Could be a goat or a smart hamster … but not likely)

In case you were wondering Kaloleni is a town in Kenya! Wildcats is just one of the generic names that goes after the town or city.

Should I be worried about BOT teams in Blackout Rugby Manager?

NO! It means their players are usually of a low level and that those players have NOT been trained like a real manager would do. If you click on the shirt icon just below where it says “VIEW CLUB”, then you can see the level of the players and sigh in relief.

Since these teams are usually easier to beat (unless you are a brand new club, that is, less than a week old – even then you should be fine) then I usually place my second XV or youth squad against them so that my younger players can gain more game experience, etc.
